Irene Shapes (AKA Irene Prosdocimo)

From the age of 7, when she first started playing piano, Irene Shapes has grown into an accomplished audio engineer, musician, and composer. She developed her technical skills by studying Music Production and Engineering at Berklee College of Music.

Throughout her career, Irene has collaborated with a diverse range of artists, producers, and sound engineers worldwide, many of whom have garnered accolades for their contributions. As a member and advisor in educational advisory programs for leading audio brands, she conducts demonstrations, beta testing, and content creation to foster innovative product development.

As a core member of Kirlian Camera, a historically significant band renowned for its pioneering influence in dark wave and electronic music, Irene showcases her versatility by playing bass, piano, keys, and the traditional Chinese guzheng, as well as contributing sound design.

In her role as lead vocalist and keyboardist for the alternative rock band Hopeful Thing, she oversees music production, crafting a cohesive sound that embodies the band’s artistic vision.

Irene’s extensive experience spans a variety of genres, including jazz, alternative, dark electro, rock, and metal music.

She is currently based in Italy.
